Orville Peck is teasing his upcoming album ‘Mule’ with the video for ‘Already Gone.’ Produced by Jay Joyce and written by Peck with Jacob Portrait, “Already Gone” features Peck’s ace five-piece band, with contributions from bluegrass luminaries Molly Tuttle, Ketch Secor and Ry Jennings. Detailing the song, Peck shared “Already Gone lands early in the album’s story, when I first entered the rehab facility. I accepted the decision to seek treatment, but deep down I believed I didn’t have a problem. The video reflects my arrogant mindset as I picture the experience as a lighthearted musical, while in reality, I was in total crisis.”
Peck’s his fourth studio album, Mule, will arrive Sept. 18 through Warner Records. He also previously released two other tracks from the project: the upbeat lead single, “Too Little, Too Late,” and “Prologue (Eulogy Of A Man Turned Mule),” featuring Emmylou Harris, Noah Cyrus and Allison Russell.
Peck will also hit the road in support of the album on the Man Turned Mule Tour, a North American trek launching Sept. 18 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles before traveling across the United States and Canada through late November.
